Error on SDBINST.EXE while installing SAP NW 7.02 ABAP trial SP6

Hi Friends,

I am having a problem while installing the SAP NetWeaver 7.02 SP06 AS ABAP Trial on a Win 7 machine. Log is showing:

'...\NWASABAPTRIAL70206\SAP_MaxDB_78_SP1_10_RDBMS\DATA_UNITS\MAXDB_WINDOWS_I386\SDBINST.EXE -l' is not analysable. The component Base is missing.

After that, installation is stopped.

Do you have any idea for solving it?

Hi Flavio,

Is your OS 32 bit or 64 bit.

Usually the isue could come due to this compatibility.

Think that is the porblem. OS is 64 bit.

But MaxDB 32 bit installer is being run:

...\NWASABAPTRIAL70206\SAP_MaxDB_78_SP1_10_RDBMS\DATA_UNITS\*MAXDB_WINDOWS_I386*\SDBINST.EXE -l'

I feel the trial version installation has some incosistency regarding the download link as 64 bit installation link points to 32 bit software.

Please check thread Same might apply.
