Search Helps in webdynpro

Hello,

I found the following article for creating Freely Programming Search Helps in Webdynpro :

but the same result can be achieved using OVS(Object Value Selector) concept using the standard Webdynpro Component WDR_OVS. Is there any other difference or advantage of using the 'freely progaramming search helps'.

Any help would be highly appreciated.
