Hi All,
My portal version is EP7.01 SP3; itu2019s not supporting to IE8, so my client given permission to upgrade it to SP5, so what are the challenges you all faced while upgrading can you please suggest me and also what is the testing plan.

Lately the SAP products also have a slide or slides on browser compatibility on https://service.sap.com/pam so you might want to take a look there.
According to pam most functionality will work on SPS05 given you use XP or Vista (Windows 7 requires SPS06).

We made the experience that you can switch on the compatibility mode and add the addresse of the portal so that the IE7 rendering is used. This worked for us (until we upgrade).
