Alternative modes

Hi ,

In one of our scenario, we want to have alternative mode priority in APO when ciffing from ECC as to select the mode based on priorities maintained.

Could you brief the various settings to be maintained as to achieve the result.

Hello Prashanth,

I assume that you are creating alternative modes in terms of production or is it giving the mode priority to resources ?

If you are using SCM 7.0 than you can achieve the alternative modes by creating the alternative sequences in the ECC routing and ciffing it to SCM system.

Hi Prash.

If you have already sent the PDS to APO with the alternative sequences and you want to change the mode priority, you can use transaction PDS_MAINT on ECC side. In tab Operation Data, you can change field "Mode Prio." which refers to the mode priority in APO.

Hi Prashant,

IN standard ECC (what ever the version it is) you do not have any option to maintain the mode priority in routing or master recipe. If you are using PPM in APO then you can maintain manually one by one. If the volume is more or if you are using PDS then you have to go for enhancement (use CIF user exit)
