SAP.Connector.RfcCommunicationException

Hi,

I tried deploying a windows application that connects to an RFC-enabled function module (using SAP .NET Connector). I already installed the .NET framework and librfc32.dll as indicated in the help topic.

Unfortunately, i still get the ff. error when i tried using the program: SAP.Connector.RfcCommunicationException: Connect to SAP gateway failed....

What did i miss? Does the client machine need a SAP GUI installed for it to run an application that uses the SAP.NET connector? Do i need to put the SAP.Connector.dll and the SAP.Connector.RFC.dll in system32 as well?

Any insights is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Changed my ASHOST to the specific IP address instead of the alias name and it worked fine. No need for the client machine to have SAP GUI installed. FYI.
