Hello!

Sorry for my English. After install MDM 7.1 SP06 we have are problem in Portal MDM IView.

In repository MDM create simple flat table with only one field LiteralDate type Literal Date. In portal create IView (MDM Item Details) on this simple table, and preview. Now create new record for this table, enter a valid date and press save, and we are seeing this image:

Could not save record; see log for details: (com.sap.mdm.internal.protocol.manual.ServerException: A literal date cannot have time value. )

Before (at SP04) its work fine.

Please help.

Hi Olga,

Please refer to SAP Note 1559474 - Error when saving a record with Literal Date field.

As the note mentions, please upgrade your portal content to MDM 7.1 SP06 Patch06 or higher version to fix this issue.

Best regards,

Hi Olga,

Idealy MDM Server must ignore the Time Part from given Date as per the definition of Literal Date Data Type:

"In MDM Literal Date = TimeStamp field that ignores the time part."

I suspect if both MDM Server and EP iViews are on same service pack level, if yes then try by upgrade of both MDM Server and EP-MDM contents to the latest Patch (Patch 03) of 7.1 SP06.

And if the problem persists afterwards, then open a OSS Note to SAP Support Team.
