Loading Support Packages from Application Server

Hi Guys

I'm struggling to load support packages into my BI system from the Applicaton Server using the SAPCAR -xvf command.

They (support packages) have been already downloaded into my Application Server.

If i was to be honest, i can admit that cmd is not something i'm quite familiar with as much as i should. I know the basics but the exact command to extarct the file into the right palce is quite an issue for me.

Your help will be very much appreciated.

Thank you.

command is correct SAPCAR -xvf ####.sar

You should put the SAR & CAR files in /usr/sap/trans directory then change directory to /usr/sap/trans, execute the above command with user <sid>adm for each SAR file. It will extract the PAT & ATT files under /usr/sap/trans/EPS/in

Sometime for few patch files it shows error.. in that case download the latest SAPCAR from SMP & retry..

After then login to SAP 000 client & load packages from appliaction server in transaction SPAM
