Hello Gurus,
While valid for All org unit, why is General data view not valid for SA data?
Is it a Must or a Rule in SAP to use or create only the same code for same customer of different company codes in a client or SAP system?
Does the price list in customer master data > Sales area tab mean the price is set there?
regards
M Russo
hi,
no you can use different codes also that in different clients but it purely depends on the client requriment & mostly client requries same code for different company codes but the stuff should be different in side it.
general data:
client dependant data & it is not dependent on any of the organisational units.
Price list in customer master data : is a integration field which in turn helps for triggerring correct condition records and pricing correctly.
you can use as one of the selection fields from creating condtion table to trigger condition records
hope this clears your issue

As you are aware Customer Master data is split into three tabs, viz. General Data, Company Code Data and Sales Area data.
The main purpose of splitting into three tabs is that many clients would like to have controls in such a way that certain users say FI users should access only Company Code Data and certain users say Marketing users should only access Sales Area Data as only in these two tabs, all sentitive data in sale order will flow from these two tabs.
Coming to the next, the text itself is self-explanatory. You can differentiate pricing to any customer based on this.
