Output only Key Figure Getting changed

Hi,

It is observed that though you make a key figure as output only in a data view, you can edit the same in the interactive forecasting screen. Can be explained by the below scenario:

KF1: Input/Output

KF2: Output only

1. Click on Univariate Forecast Icon to goto interactive forecasting screen

2. By default the generated forecast gets populated in KF1

3. Change the Forecast key figure from KF1 to KF2 by Settings --> Forecast Key Figure

4. Execute Univariate Forecast and then save the forecast

Though KF2 is defined as output only, the results of interactive forecasting are getting saved in KF2. We are currently using SCM 5 with SP15.

Please suggest if there is any note for the same.

Hi Bharath,

In Output only option, you can manually cannot enter any data...however macros or auto functionalities can enter the data in these KFs.

Expecting you are auto generating the forecast.

Have checked, If a key figure is defined as read only in a data view then:

1. A Macro cannot change the values in that key figure, it throws an error: Macro trying to modify a key figure that is not locked.

2. A forecast Profile when executed in background to modify an output only key figure: The job does not fail but the spool shows a message that "No data has been changed; data must not be saved" and the key figure values are not altered.

So when forecasting in background if we cannot change an output only key figure, even in foreground it should not support the same. Please suggest.

Would appreciate, if you can share the link, where you read this.

In DP /SNP book, the output only keyfigyure cannnot be changed by the macro is very strange. Many standarad Keyfigure like: Total Demand, Total Receipt, Target Day's Supply, etc are output only keyfigure & are updated by macros.

Interested to understand in which cases the output only KF are not updating by macro.

It is not any link. Have checked by running the scenario in the system have updated those observations.

Hi,

There are some KF in SNP Planning Book which cannot be made editable.When trying to change these key figures to input/output mode in planning book design view, a message is displayed as <KF XXXX cannot be made editable>. For these key figures, we cannot enter manually or copy (through macro) a value from any key figure to this non editable key figure.

I created a custom order series KF and assigned custom category (copy of FA) to this key figure in planning area. This key figure was assigned to the planning book. But this key figure could not be made editable in design view inspite of being a custom key figure. I could not enter any value manually into it or copy through a macro.

Does any one know how we can make this keyfigure editable?

have you considered the possiblity of user exit BAdI? Check the BAdI 's for DP in SPRO
