Webdynpro ABAP Enhancement Issue

HI All,

I have done one enhacement in a standard component .

Evrything was working fine for the last 1 month .

But today I found out all my over writted methods were not showing .

I went to the history and tried to do the relaod log entry as I can see all those over written methods present there .

But still am not getting back my old over written Methods.

Is there any way to get those ? or reload those ?

Hi,

you should contact your basis people or some people who are experts in transport.

Puzzling how on a sudden all the enhancements are disappearing . As far as i know there are versioned and maintained in dev system. so i think it is should be possible to compare the versions and revert the code.

I would put effort to find out how this is disappearing !! Even if you manage to correct this time, what guarantee you might have that this is not repeating.

Hi Baskaran,

You are right thats what Puzzling my mind . In future it may happen again .

What I tried is by going into the history of the enhancement I tried to reload log becuase in webdynpro enhancement

we do not have anything called version but logas are created with IDs .

Still it did not work then as you were also suggesting we did comparison of 2 vesions.

Then I did manually Copy paste and overwrote all the previous written methods .

Which is not a good solution but a work around .

Infact we did involve the basis team . but they were also unable to do the reload log .

I think it should be analysed and root cause should be found out ...

Here our basis team informed that as I was using remote system ,

This happened becuase I did not log off and closed system without saving the activities.
