Hello SDN!
Can I confirm the following with you:
1. Downpayment can be part of a periodic payment plan also not just meant for milestone billing plan.
2. An Installment Plan is for Periodic billing plan only.
3. If a Downpayment Request is already processed with 'Create downpayments', is it still possible to make a partial downpayment payment, by entering a value manually for condition type AZWR when processing payment for 1st partial invoice ?
regards
Tom
Hi,
1. Downpayment can be the part of both MS billing and Periodic billing. Not only that, even without billing plans, the downpayment functionality can be enabled. Billing plan and downpayment are different concepts and both can be used independently. So DP can be used even without bplans.
2. Yes. An installment payment can be configured through periodic billing effectively.
3. I am not clear about what you mean by this. Processwise, you first create a downpayment for an order and iti s posted using Special GL indicator F. During invoice creation, the downpayment shoudl be reversed in FI and posted to cleared amount based on the final invoice. Until the final invoice is created, multiple downpayments can be created. On creation of final invoice, all the downpayments for that sales order shoudl be cleared off. Hope this makes things clear for you.
