Investment Management (IM) budget error

Hi

I have populated with value of budget in IM32 in Investment Management for year 2011. Now, I am trying to supplement the budget to couple of measures assigned to an investment program. But, the systeme is displaying the error message: "Annual Budget 2010 is less than distributed budget". Actually, these measures (projects) are assigned to investment program in 2010 and now I would like to draw the budget and distribute it.

Is there anything missing in the process and how to avoid the error message and post the budget successfully.

Hi.

Be aware that year in Selection screen in tcodes IM52, IM30 etc is not 'year of budget distribution, supplement etc'.

What is the "Inv Program & Approval Year" combination in which the measures are maintained?

You can distribute budget of that combination to your measures.

Hi,

It seems you are distributing budget to the measures more than what is available / planned in the program. System wont allow this.

If you are doing annual budgeting in program then distribution to the measures also should be annual.

check your budget value for the 2010 and also how much you want to distribute.

IM52 is the transaction where you distribute the budget to the project Definition.

When I carry out the distribute budget for projects thru IM52, it is giving the error. Is there anything missing?

Dear,

- What is the total value you want to distribute to all your projects in 2010?

- Are there any carried forward measures ?

- what is the financial year for you now?

- Have you carried out IM27 runs?

Thanks for your feedback.

I have also budgeted to 2011 (annual) for an amount $270000.00 and trying to distribute with IM52 for one of the project for an amount 16000.00 only. But, it is giving the error "Annual budget 2010 less than distributed budget. The error is for the year 2010.

The budget has been carried forward from year 2009 to 2010.

OK. Did you select the option "Select Carried Forward Measures" in IM52?

Yes. The error is being displayed while execuing with the option 'Carried forward measures' only.

Ok. Just to check, open IM52, dont do any distribution, simply "Check for consistency" & see if any warnings given by system.
