Hi,
I am going through Venkat Donela's simpe (File-XI-File)scenario Part1 and part2.

But my XI did not pick up the input file. I use SXMB_MONI and look at the message monitoring. It says "No message has been selected'. I don't see "adapter monitoring" option on my "Runtime WorkBench".
Is there anybody could tell me how I can monitor the scenario execution? I checked the every step states in Venkat Donela's sample.
Any comments and advice will be highly appreciated.

Hi Meiying,
In your runtime workbench home, there will be a tab, Component Monitoring, click on it. Select status as all, and click on display. The components will be displayed on ur screen. In that, under Integration Server, there will be a link for Adapter Engine. Click on it. Now, scroll down, and u will see a link to adapter monitoring.
Also, for XI not picking the input file, please check ur sender file adapter parameters ( especially the path you have given for picking the file.)
Hope this helps you.
cheers,
Prashanth

Thanks Prashanth and Tirumal very much!
I can see the adapter monitoring now. It says "Error connecting to ftp server....: ConnectException: Connection refused. I will check it with our system administrator. Also I don't know if I specify my file path correctly. Our basis says I can only use '/usr/sap/PID/SYS/global' directory. So I put my input file there. And specify my output directory the same, but different file name as output file. Do you think the file path is OK?
Thank you very much!
Meiying
Hi,
Try the following.
1. Try to connect to the location you have given in your Source Folder from XI server. See, if XI has a Read and Write Acess to that folder.
<b>'/usr/sap/PID/SYS/global'</b> The format in which you have mentioned the File name looks good. Just make sure that this folder exists and has connectivity from XI.

Hi,
The best way to check if your file is being picked is to set the "Processing Mode to Delete"....So then you will know if your file is actually being picked...
Also go to Message Monitoring of RWB and check for the status. Because if you have content conversion problems then it will show there in MDT(Message Display Tool under Message Monitoring).
And if you are using NFS connection for Sender File Adapter, try to check for the checkBox "ReadOnly Files".
Pls go through the explanation of a simmilar scenario that i have explained below and compare it with what you have done..
Please go thru the following links and clear all your doubts.

Thanks everybody!
I just seccessfully executed my scenario. I used another FTP server in which I have access and very happy to see both sender and receiver worked in adapter monitoring.
Here is so good place to learn XI and has so many nice people here.
Please continue teaching me! Thanks!

Meiying -
In RWB, check Component Monitoring, Display "Components with Status" as ALL from dropdown.
In the domain.00.<your SAP XI server> , expand the Integration Server-> Select the Adapter Engine under which you can see the "Adapter Monitoring" button under Status tab.
Hope this helps.
Thanks,
Tirumal
