SapWebServiceStartInstance Error

I am trying to "Start" my MDM server.

Even if i am providing the correct credentials in the "Web Service Authentication" Dialog Box , I am getting an error which shows the message

" Call to SapWebServiceStartInstance failed with error. The Requested name is valid but no data of the requested type was found ".

Could you check that your NW AS is installed and running and in your request you are using correct parameters, please?

Thanks for the reply. We have installed the EHP1 SRM 7.0/EHP2 NW 7.0 and SRM-MDM Catalog 3.0 in the same box.

when we try to mount, it is properly mounting without starting. Where as this connection is working fine with other system.

Hello!

Can you start it by using the MDM Console on the host machine? And using sapmmc?

Is your firewall properly configured?

The WebService listens on two ports: 5<MDS Instance Number>13(http) and 5<MDS Instance Number>14 (https). For instance if MDS was installed as instance number 0 the ports would be 50013 and 50014. These ports must not be blocked by a firewall. If there are then please open the firewall for the ports.
