Sales Order Release Strategy

Dear All Experts,

We have implemented new status profile for sales order release strategy.

Release strategy is as follows:

BLKD Blocked For Dispatch.

REL1 Release By Marketing Department

REL2 Release By QA Department

REL3 Release By Director

Now our problem is, We have given rights to change status profile to marketing department through VA02. But we dont want to give sales order update right to QA department, but we want to give only that much rights through which QA department only release order not modify other sales order data.

Dear Shaligram,

I dont know whether this will help but you can do it at the auth level.

There is one object V_VBAK_ATT and 43 is for release. Give just this auth to the QA people.

take help of your basis guy.

Hi,

While defining the status profile you can use Authorization Codes (defined in BS52) against various status as mentioned REL1,REL2,REL3. And while assigning the authorization object "B_USERSTAT" to the user rolls you can restrict them by by assigning the Authoriztion codes.Assign VA02 transaction to the all users and remove the remaining authorizations objects to them from the rolls.To find out the authorization objects list for a transaction you can able to see by transaction code wise in SU24.

In VA02, you can find the following objects

=> I_QMEL PM/QM: Notification Types

=> V_VBAK_VKO Sales Document: Authorization for Sales Areas

Either you can restrict to notification type or sales area to QA people.
