IGS: GP: RFC-link to graphics server not available

Hello,

When I try to execute a report from ITS I get this error "GP: RFC-link to graphics server not available". According to SAP info I need to install IGS.

My R/3 is in one machine and ITS in other. Where should I install IGS? R/3 or ITS?

Hi Ana,

personally I would install it on one of the agate server. They usually have a smaller load that the server where the SAP system runs. Maybe it is the best to check the load at prime time and to install IGS on the server with the smallest load.

Hello Klaus,

I finished IGS installation and when I tried to go to SE38 and execute program "graphics_igs_chart_test" the program was not available. R/3 version = 4.6C.

When I read documentation it says:

"The IGS needs to “know” an R/3 system. The system must be at least 4.6D or later. Specify the program ID,

the RFC host and the gateway for the RFC listener."

Does it mean that I'm not able to run Graphics on ITS due to my R/3 version? Am I correct?
