additional Application Server or Database Server

Currently we have 250 Users with FI,CO,SD & MM Modules implemented in our company.we are planning to implement PM module which will increase approx 300 more users.

we are using SAN for Storage and having 1 application & database server.

My question is that with increase in number of users should i go for additional Application server and use logon groups or have a separate database server and separate application server

which is better please suggest.

Hi,

You have to analyse your own system to know that. We can't do it for you...

You have to determine if the database is overloaded or not.

Usually, app servers (DIA instances) are added before it is necessary to change the database side but each system is different...
