Downloading SNP planning book

Hi,

SNP planning book has standard download functionality. But if we attempt to download huge data, it gets downloaded but with data mismatch (column wise some figures will go in other column) . I want to download five key figures for 50 locations for 50 products for forecast horizon which is 12 to 15 months (in weekly bucket). Actually it is difficult to load this much data in planning book also.

Appreciate if someone can show some way out for this.

Create an info cube and download data from planning area to info cube. That is the way to go .

For now you can download data for the 50 or so materials that you need. Tomorrow if there is a requirement to add 50 more material and remove some from the list then you will have the flexibility to do the same. In the info package in APO - BW put a 2 line ABAP code , to read the list of materials from a tvarvc or table and download the data just for the specified materials .

The other advantage of this approach is the info cube will also serve as a backup cube. For some reason if you happen to use your time series data (this statement is valid only for time series key figures in your SNP planning book) , you can always restore it using the info cube . Also based on the data in info cube you can develop queries that your users can use.
