Change in Serial no. after clearing Insp lot of type 10.

Hello Guys,

I have one scenario in our plant.

We have activated inspection type 10 for pre-dispatch inspection after creation of outbound delivery.

After clearing Inspection lot for Inspection type 10, logistics person do PGI.

Serial Numbers are maintained for the materials which needs to be dispatched.

But, after clearing inspection lot of material with serial no. say ABCD1234 from QA32, Logistics person can change the serial no. ABCD1234 in outbound delivery to any other Serial number as he wants. But QM person has cleared Inspection lot for ONLY ABCD1234.

How can we restrict it through QM?

Not real familiar with serial numbers but one thing you can check. Check the QM in SD record and determine if it is defined as "after delivery". If it is, try changing it to before delivery.
