Can someone please help me in resoving this issue

I am trying to update ST PI from SP level 200 to 300 in our development, in the process it stop with error warning:

Error in phase: IMPORT_PROPER

Reason for error: TP_FAILURE

Return code: 0200

Now I downloaded SAPEXE_117-10005992.SAR and SAPEXEDB_117-10005995.SAR

I try this at the DOS prompt and I get an error...

SAPCAR: error opening SAPEXE_117-10005992.SAR <error>. The system cannot find the file specified.

Please, let me know if i am doing something wrong here?

In DOS prompt, go to the location where you have kept the SAR file. Then try extracting that.

Please try to edit the parameter from DC(Domain Controller) of the landscape.

If your system is in a landscape and and DC is maintained as some other system you cannot modify any tp related parameter locally, Only domain controller is authorized to do so.

Check profile parameter SAPSYSTEM, rdisp/msserv.

If not present then maintain. also check message server port entries in etc/services file.

Hi,

Please check if you have sufficient background jobs available before running the import again(>2). It seems that no backgrnd process is available to trigger the import.

After trying all of these things to resolve the issue, none have worked. Please, I need your help to resolve this as I am near my deadline.

Hello,

Ensure tp file is updated to the latest level. This needs to be done manually by downloading the tp file from http://service.sap.com/swdc

Patching the entire kernel will help too.
