Custom Fields on request types

friends,

can we customize fields on the request screen based on your request type.

i created a business area field in CUP which should be mandatory for request types new/change accounts but not for super user access.

You can add custom fields by creating the same in CUP Go in Configuration -> Custom Fields. The fields you create here will be visible in the request form for the user to fill in addition to the standard fields . You can take a look at the Access Control 5.3 configuration guide for information on how to create custom fields.

Just a word of caution - please make sure you need those custom fields: after you have created a custom field and used it in a request, there's no way of deleting it again, or getting it off of your request form easily!

No Rao, a custom field will be valid for all requests.

I know we have to live with that..but do you guys agree thatz a poor design.

It has its limitations, but it does the job m ostly. IU am guessing GRC 10.0 will not have this limitaion.
