Our users are asking about options for logging changes to key figures in our DP setup. As is there is no way to see who updated what and when. This would be very useful for coodination and general operation. I found note 1308968 about a special development one can implement, but it seems a little overkill for what we need.
I was thinking about adding a keyfigure to the planning book and writing the current date to this field via a macro whenever someone updates the CVC. The same concept could be extended if you wanted to store the previous value of a given field when someone updates it. This would give you a little bit of historical tracking.
Doing it like this would also allow us to transfer the info on when something was changed to BW.
I was wondering if anyone else has experiences trying to add some sort of "change log" functionality to DP?
