Also, please advice on the downtime procedures for SPM installation.
Do we have any data regarding Down time(when, Step, etc) in the SPM installation & configuration guide.
Thanks,

Hi Santosh,
Your Support Package & patches on the ABAP seem good. Ensure you have a BI-JAVA system also at the same support package and also connected to this ABAP system.
For SPM add-on installation you don't need a down time. Also depending your system and internal procedure, if you restart your server after add-on then you need to take that into account. But as mentioned in the installation & configuration guide, there is no down time for add-on installation or SPM content activation.

Rohit

Hi Amit,
There is no set time on how long will SPM add-on installation take. As specified in the installation / configuration guide several tasks can be performed in parallel. Based on that you can make your estimates. Also once you perform this activity in sandbox or development system that should give you a very good idea of how long each activity takes.

Rohit
Hi Amit
As Rohit suggested, there is no set time.
More importantly, as against a transactional application, an analytical application like SPM is a different breed in terms of implementation. Thats because you first need to properly understand what you need to analyze, how many sources of data you have for your business scenario, how to get that data out of those sources, validating the data etc...
Thorough business blueprinting and a properly thought out project plan would set you on the fastest track to go live.
Regards
Rajesh
