Field Country Of origin is not ready for input

Hi

I am trying to update Equipment record but when i hit save I get this error " Field Country of origin is not ready for input"

I am nott why i am getting this, i can't save my changes and i have to exit without saving...

Currently my equipment and asset are configure to sync after changes.

Message no. AY219

Diagnosis

While creating or changing an asset using function module ASSET_MASTERRECORD_MAINTENANCE, you tried to assign a value to field Country of origin. However, field Country of origin is not ready for input.

Do I need to make any changes to the asset master in order to get the country of origin field available?

Please advise...

Thanks everyone, I had to ask a FICO consultant to fix the asset views to include the country field. thanks

Check the following notes:-

1) Note 380329 - Error message AY219 issued incorrectly

2) Note 550176 - FAQ note legacy data transfer asset master records

3) Note 962552 - GJT2: Error AY219 for acquisition year field

hi,

this is to inform you that,

the error is because of this statement in the program.

LAISTF8U 189 MESSAGE e219(ay) WITH ld_fld_label. "note 891581.

ASSET_MASTERRECORD_MAINTENANCE, do the necessary changes in the field available.

hope this clears your issue.
