Adding a alpha digit to the MAT Code??

Hello all,

I work up at remote mine and our maint department rebuilds alot of the pumps etc here on site, so the question is, is there a way I can

add a "R" (for rebuild) to the end of the MAT code, and if so how.

example

123123123- big red pump

once rebuild on site list as

123123123R

any clue.

Hi,

set the generation of the material code as external so that the system allow you to provide the material number instead of system generating internally..

Go to tcode OMS2 and there tick the option external assignment w/o check...

if this is not what you expecting then better post the query in Logistics (SAP Solutions) Forum ...
