Hi Gurus,
what is the best practice to DP planning area horizons during the initialization. what impact would it have on the system, i choose a longer horizon in the future..
5,
Longer than what?
Generally, longer time horizons usually mean more data has to be managed. More data means more system processing power required and more system memory required, or lower system performance/response. Beyond that, the effect on YOUR system will depend on a number of interrelated factors which are extremely hard to quantify without actually trying it.
All I can say is you should make the time horizons 'long enough to meet your business requirements, but not longer'.
