Hello everybody,
I am doing some tests to monitor non-SAP systems using the CCMS agents. In my case I have successfully installed ccmsping and connected it to my CEM. Now I can monitor the availability of the system from SAP, and things such as the response time, uptime, and so on.
In order to do that I have used a [saptutor|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/library/uuid/d547f687-0901-0010-07a9-ce64cc044215] provided in this forum. My only question about that is how to include in the sapmsg.ini file a non-SAP system in order to monitor it (slide 106 in the saptutor).
On another note I would also like to get some advice on how to proceed to get more than just the uptime information from non-SAP systems. For example I would like to read logs from specific processes in the system being monitored, or just check if a specific application is being executed or not in the system.
I don't think this level of detail can be achieved with the ccmsping agent, but I would like to get some advice on what's the best strategy to follow here.
Many thanks in advance
Hi
SAPMSG.INI file only for SAP systems, for non sap systems monitoring data exclusively pushed by the local agents
for detail please refer under [http://service.sap.com/monitoring|http://service.sap.com/monitoring]
Thanks,
Jansi
