Problem with batch in inprocess lot

Hi this is sathish,

we have in process inspection ..

In UD, batch is mandatory... if we enter new no,, it is saying that batch no not exists...

we will have multiple batches in one production order, so not possible to give one batch in prod order.\

how can i solve this?

if i give existing batch no, then it is taking....

what does it mean

any idea?

Try this

In the MM02 > QM view> inspection type 04

maintain settings for field 'Control InsLot'. Select option <inspection lot for each material batch split>

This setting will create new inspection lot for each new batch.

You can now make UD for each batch.

Let me know if this works for you.

To the best of my knowledge, you can only assign or have one batch number per process order. You can only add a new batch when you create the process order. Once the process order is released, you can only add an already created batch number to it.

You can however receipt as many different batches as you desire against a process order if you want.
