We make use of the portfolio item alert function for Staffing. This works as described, eg "The staffing status is determined by calculating the difference between total demand (for all roles) and total allocation (assignment for all roles) for this item with a given allocation unit during the item´s duration.
The above means considering both hard- and soft bookings for the allocation part. There is however now a requirement to only consider hardbookings for the allocations.
The question is then if that is possible to influence? I see no such option in the IMG. Is there a BADI which could be made use of?
