Smartform doesn't show - Red X icon

Hi Gurus!

I've already read many threads about how to insert a smartform on the WD4A but I still haven't success on it.

When the wda application is executed, I just can see the interactiveform UI with a red "X" icon on the top left.

I've already performed the following steps:

- Create a node with 1...1 cardinality

- An attirbute for this node as XSTRING

- Inserted an interactive form UI element in the view (ROOTUIELEM...container)

- Bind the field pdfSource to the XSTRING attribute in the context

- On the WDDOINIT a inserted the code to execute the smartform, convert it to OTF and send the bin_file to the context

- I'm not using IE8.

But when the web dynpro runs it doesn't show the smartform. It just shows the interactiveform element and the red X icon.

Do you know what is missing or what should I try to solve it?

Hi,

Have you tried executing SAP delivered interactive forms demo applications ?. Check that out first to rule out that the fault lies in the configuration or in your application.
