Shipment type in Customer Master

Where we can maintain Shipment Type [ Rail, Sea , Air] in Customer Master to bring this in Sale Order automatically.

hi,

that is called as mode of transport.

you can define the same in define routes in basic functions of IMG

and

assign it in DEFINE ROUTES AND STAGES.

this mode of transport is also called as shipment types.

Hi,

Its used in Defining Routes and for complex transportation .You can define in Logistics execution- Shipping- Basic Shipping -Define Routes-Define Shiping Types . You use this shipping type to define you routes along with :time duration ,agents ,legs etc .

Then determine route in Route Determination for your zone and combination of Trans Group and shipping conditions.

this will not be maintained in Customer Master Record.

but it will be maintained in MODE OF TRANSPORT AND ASSIGN THIS TO SHIPMENT TYPES IN transporation module.
