Hi Juan,

Thanks for your help. It worked for me after following the instruction given by you but still I see following few messages while web dispatchere is starting:

.\log\SLOG33.LOG: No such file or directory

rslgwr1(20): rstrbopen cannot open pre-existing SysLog file.

.\log\SLOG33.LOG: No such file or directory

After this I am able to login to web dispatcher admin url ....../sap/wdisp/admin/public/default.html but not to the default page (i.e. http://hostname:60000/useradmin here I am suppose to get back java useradmin page of backend CRM JAVA system). I maintained required entry in the web dispatcher profile (i.e. parameter wdisp/system_0).

Hi Ghochi,

It's probably too late to post an answer here, but it may be useful for other people...

I had this same error when installing the WebDisp in my Windows 7 computer.

The problem is due to permissions and administrator privileges:

1. Make sure that the user belongs to Administrators group

2. Right click on the 'sapwebdisp.exe' executable, go to the 'Compatibility' tab and check the 'Run this program as an administrator'.

This solved the problem in my computer.

good luck!

Juan

Hello Ghochi,

you have to ensure the "SAPService<sid> User is a member to the Administrators group

is that the case?

hi marcedes,,

in this case, we want to use SAP webdispatcher 7.2 (new releas) instead of SAP webdistpatcher 7.00 for Load balancing our Portal system and Backend system

so this service installed separately with All instance in our landscape.

do you have any idea?? or have you ever use SAP webdispatcher 7.2

thanks

Hi,

I am currently testing Webdispatcher 7.2 on a testbed system.

I installed it "my way" :

I had a running webdispatcher 7.0 installed as a windows service.

I just replaced the content of the 7.0 directories with the 7.2 exécutables and adapted the configuration files.

The Webdispatcher runs just fine and I am now experimenting with the new "Modifications Actions" features.

Olivier

Hi oliv,

what do you mean "My Way"? is there any problem when setup normal practice,

because, when we follow your "way", by replace old SAP webdispatcher 7.00 directories with SAP webdispatcher 7.2

we are still get error same message.. still failed.

how do you setup this??

thanks

Hi again,

As I said, I just replaced the 7.0 exu00E9cutables with the 7.2 exu00E9cutables, copied the sapcrypto.dll, adapted the profile file and restarted the windows service. The web dispatcher 7.2 started just fine.

I am using windows 2008. With older Windows releases you may have problems with the Microsoft C++ runtime libraries.

In that case you have to install these libraries with VCREDIST....
