Actually, you can. It's undocumented, but possible.

1. Edit the data type for which you want to import the XSD

2. Click on the XSD tab

3. Perform an ALT-F10 key combination

4. select the XSD and import it

Note that XI will sometimes balk at the XSD. IIRC, it has a problem when a tag name is re-used (e.g. Multiple structures have a tag named "ID"). It's been several months since I had to do this, but it required quite a bit of effort for a complicated data definition.

Hello,

You can import it as an External Definition, you do not need to create the Data type and Message type and can use it directly in your Interface Message.

No, you cannot import schema into 2.0. Typing it in is the only option. Import is possible in 3.0.
