Hi expert,
I have a new hardware on which I installed SAP Solution Manager 7.0.
And we are installing SAP ECC 5.0 on the same hardware (because we want to upgrade after to ECC 6.0).
Now the Installation requires the solution Manager key. We defined via SMSY the new system we want to install (DEV and Installtion number) and we generate the solution manager key.
When we usee this solman key we get the error:
The solution manager key is not valid. Enter the correct key for host '<#1>', the SAP system ID '<#2>' and the central instance number '<#3>'.
Any feedback please? What are we doing wrong?
Thanks in advance
Best regards

Hi,
Have you generated the key with the exact input of SID, Hostname and Instance Number?
Delete it in SMSY and regenerate a key once agin.
