Hi,
I am planning my Purchase requisitions in SNP in weekly buckets.
Currently using period factor and transportation duration of transportation lane to arrive at the start date for the source.
For example:
Start date to ship out from source is required on Monday
If I have Transportation duration : 72 hrs(3days)
I will set Period factor = 0.5(thursday) so that it can schedule on Monday.
ie. thursday - 3 days = monday.
Above calculation works out if I have source and destination location is having same timezones(Ex. UTC+8).
If Source(UTC+8) and destination location(GMTUK) is having different time zones.
for the above scenario the time zone differences is taken into consideration and arriving at sunday or tuesday which is not desired.
Did anyone come across the problem earlier?
Please advice.Thanks in advance.
Regards,
Chunchu
Hi,
I have the same master data setup of having different time zones for start & destination location for long time.
Only in the recent past i am having the scheduling problem.
Is there any setting not to consider the timezone so that it always schedules according to period factor.
Can you explain me the macro approach.
Regards,
Yuvaraj

Hi,
This is obvious if you are planning for different regions.
This you can achieve by Macro and you need to read the both time zone data through Macro and then it will give you the accurate result.
In Standard setting you can't use two time zones for same planning purpose.
So please use the macro for period shifting.

Vishal
