Unicode impact on Functional

Hi all,

We are on SAP 4.7 (non-unicode) system. Now we are planning for unicode version in SAP 6.0.. Can u please explain me what would be the impact on functional side while moving from non-uncode version to unicode version.

Hi Pramitha,

for the Unicode conversion customers have to enable their Z-objects for Unicode - please have a look at

In addition, interfaces must be tested and might need to be adapted. Please check

For the end user however, there should be only small differences on the same release for Unicode and Non-Unicode systems.

This might be of course different for the Upgrade - here some areas might change significantly.
