We use periodic billing plans, monthly/quarterly/yearly, for Lease & License billings. We come across a lease contract that we will invoice customer a fixed amount in one bill (at the beginning of contract) for the entire duration of contract which lasts 8 years.
Appreciated any suggestions how to tackle this.
Hi,
create lease contract for 8 years based on the period (monthly , quarterly and yearly), copy the contact to sales order, in the item level check the billing dates as per contact then bill it.
Thanks.

Contract validity date is maintained in two places: header and item (billing plan)
Header: Maintain contract end date as contract described.
Billing frequency is distributed according to start and end dates in billing plan, not in header. Enter an end date in the Billing Plan tab that will generates only one billing.
This achieves two results: Contract header properly describes the validity of contracts and generates only one billing.
