Results recording: MIC assigned to class characteristic

Hi All,

When the people from production make the results recording in QE51N it is necessary to record also the serial number of the component assembled in that moment of the test. I would like to know if is it possible have a MIC linked to a class characteristic and that class read the table MARA field MATNR and then when they record results they have a MIC to record the material number and perhaps the serial number.

That's bit confuse but if you are looking for Serial Number wise Result Recording then refer

I try to simplify: what I really need is a MIC where I can enter text or a specific field like for instance MARA-MATNR.

Is that possible?

Do you need to validate data entered? If Not, During QE51N, In the long text record material # , serial # etc.
