Hi all,
we are planning to upgrade from a previous SRM implementation to 7.0.
Actually we have a scenario where suppliers connect to our SRM server (bbpvendor service) through an ITS installed on the DMZ.
In the upgrade process to SRM 7.0 we want to avoid SAP Portal implementation. I've seen that by using the Portal-independent navigation frame, portal implementation can be avoided by accesing through NW Business Client, but I wonder how external suppliers can connect to our system.
I suppose that by using SAP web dispatcher we can provide web access from the internet to SRM, but, do the suppliers need a local installation of NW Business Client on their PC's or thay can access with any supported web browser?
Has anybody performed such a configuration?
Thanks in advance and best regards,
Angel
Hi,
There are 2 types of NetWeaver Business Client.
NWBC desktop - installation is required in local PC
NWBC Browser - No installation is required.
So supplier will use NWBC Browser. Or, You can apply Enhancement Package 1. Supplier can access RFx in SUS without accessing SRM.
Regards,
Masa
