Web Services URI - How do we find it?

Hi gurus

What is Web Services URI? How does the link look like?

Can someone navigate me after going in Web Services Navigator in http://<Server Name>:<Port Number>/index.html

You need web services URI when you create connectors, fill the Parameters values in connector, when you configure connector while configuring Training and Verification system.

Can someone help?

Well, do you even have a training system that exposes web services...?

Yes and No

I just want to know how the link looks like.

Also Can I navigate from http://<servername>:<port number>/index.html going in Web Services Navigator

When I click Web Services Navigator, I see different services, folders. I see SAPGRC folders, How do I know I am giving the correct URI in the connector configuration?

Click on the relevant folder name the ones for CUP start with AE. Click on WSDL. After that under right click on Standard --> Document and copy that link.

That would give you the URI.

No no no no no....

This web service would be one that's NOT on the GRC box but on a training system. The idea is that you can have an automatic approval step in a workflow by querying a training system whether or not a user has taken a certain training.

I don't think the exact requirements are documented anywhere, maybe it's best to open a support message to find out more.

Can you send me the web service URI example

for e.g http://<server name>/Port number/XXXXXX etc

Maybe go in your CUP->connector and copy paste a connector you have configured for provisioning Portal. Just an example

I have the following folders so its confusing. I don't have anything starting with AE. We are on 5.3 version

AEWFRequestSubmissionService_5_2

SAPGRC_AC_IDM_AUDITTRAIL

SAPGRC_AC_IDM_PROVISININGLOG

SAPGRC_AC_IDM_REQUESTSTATUS

SAPGRC_AC_IDM_RISKANALYSIS

SAPGRC_AC_IDM_ROLEDETAILS

SAPGRC_AC_IDM_SEARCHROLES

SAPGRC_AC_IDM_SELECTAPPLICATION

SAPGRC_AC_IDM_SUBMITREQUESTUserRoleSearchForAEService_5_3

I think you are right. If someone is configuring Training and Verificaton, he would need the web service URI for the Training system. So how do we get that? Would basis know?

This thread is just to ask in general how the webservice URI looks like when you are provisioning Portal connector in CUP

Oh, the Portal connector!

That should be the SPML URI - this document, chapter 3.4.1:

http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/scn/index?rid=/library/uuid/502a14db-6261-2c10-22b5-95117ab0e5ed

"Web service URL: http://<Portal-server-name>:<port>/spml/spmlservice"

Hi Robert,

can you please make your mind up?

- re the training WS I asked you to start an inquiry with support as this is not documented anywhere currently

- the Portal connector question is solved.

I'm closing this thread. If you have new questions feel free to ask another one. The initial question about the portal connector is solved, please stick to one issue per thread.

Frank.
