How to ....ABAP proxy

Dear all,

I found a lot of forum entries and the blog

/people/vijaya.kumari2/blog/2006/01/26/how-do-you-activate-abap-proxies

for preparing SAP Business system for ABAP proxies.

But is there no official "How to..."from SAP??

I found only one for XI 3.0 but not for PI 7.1.

Or is it just the same and so there is no need for an updated documentation?
