We are running SRM in one client scenario. A shopping cart is created under use of a product category, e.g. office supplies. Cart is being converted into a PR in backend, works fine. The purchasing clerk realizes that office supplies does not fit, so he wants to change the material group. This is not possible. How come?
Can anyone give advise on how to change the material group in backend after automatically creating a PR from a shopping card?

it is purely user training. End user must be trained well what product category must be used before they ordered.
what happens the product category is important data in the shopping cart . it determines the purchase group every thing .moreover it related with GL account in SRM configuration.
we do have some incidents but it has been corrected by oss notes in PDP scenario
but for you better set deletion flag on the Purchase request and ask the requisitioner to create a new request.
