Material Types and quantities in APO

Hi,

Please let me know whether we have the option to find material types in APO and how to find the base quantities for manufacture each material in APO as per the BOM in ECC.

Prash,

The standard integration model by default will not move Material Type to SCM. This is typically not required in a normal planning scenario.

SCM supplies several freely definable fields in the Product Master and in the Location Product master tables. If you have a material specific field that you wish to have maintained automatically in SCM in the product master by the core interface, there is a specific userexit available for this purpose.CIFMAT01 on the R/3 side.

As per my knowledge, we can not see Material Type in APO which we can see in R/3 in product master.

But you can compare the products in MARA in /SAPAPO/MATKEY table in APO in which product type field is there but not material type. Also for product location combination you can check table /sapapo/matloc for comparison purpose.

Hi Prashanth,

One way is in one case that if procurement type is different in ECC for different materials then in

Procurement Tab in APO Product Master you can check the procurement type.

It can help.

But u can have a material list from ECC/R/3 - MARA-MARC table and take all list of materials in APO and then match.

This is the simplest process.

You will need to check the integration models in ECC. Transaction CFM4 - Display Integration Models.

This should start you on what you can send through to SCM.
