QA07 Transaction

Can anyone explain what is QA07 transaction? Can we use this transaction if we don't have Quality Management Module activated?

In short we want to use this transaction for block expired Batch Managed items.

Thanks

Thanks Kris,

When I execute the transaction QA07, no records are shwoing up. irrespective of options, days etc. I enter. So I was wondering if we need Quality module activated for this transaction? or do we need certain Material Master data maitained before we can use this transaction.

Hello,

transaction is described in sap.help.com [Triggering Inspections for Batches |http://help.sap.com/saphelp_erp60_sp/helpdata/en/2d/351b97448c11d189420000e829fbbd/content.htm]

It requires minimum settings in QM:

Prerequisites

The system can only monitor the dates if you have done the following in the Quality management view of the material master record for the batch:

Defined an inspection interval

Activated inspection type 09 (recurring inspection) in the inspection setup

Some basic configuration for QM e.g. defaults for plant, number ranges should be checked in IMG: QCC0>Quality Management>Basic Settings

We activated the QM module with inspection interval with inspection type 09. But, now we are unable to create inbound delivery. It is giving an ERROR that inboubnd delivery cannot be used as the QM module is activated.

Hello,

1.Can you give error message details (e.g. error number)?

2. What type of delivery is affected - I guess that it is not inbound delivery for PO?

3. What inspection type do you have activated - only 09?

Best Regards

Check the storage location. If the storage location is WM managed and the material is QM active, you cannot create an inbound delivery. You must use a non-WM managed storage location in order to create the IBD when QM is active for the material. This is workaround that SAP suggests.

However, you wouldnt' face this problem if you are using HUM. Let us know if you using HUM so that we can provide additional details to accommodate your requirement.

We are using ECC 6.0 with inbound delivery activated (VL31N). It is an inbound delivery for PO.

We have activated inspection type 09. In fact, we donu2019t need QM module just so we can use QA07 we have activated the inspection type in QM. Not even sure what all u2018can of wormsu2019 we are opening by activating QM just for this purpose.

>>>>>>>

ERROR MESSAGE:

Material MDS096080 CA03 cannot be used in inbound delivery because QM is active Message no. L9528

Diagnosis

QM is active for material MDS096080 in plant CA03. As a result, the material cannot be used in an inbound delivery item because the item is relevant for picking and because WM is active for the item.

This process is not supported in the current release.

Procedure

Execute the putaway using a goods receipt posting with subsequent putaway in the Warehouse Management system.

We don't have full fledged HUM activated. Currently, we are testing packing specific HU functionality.
