Email Alerts from SNC

Based on a document posted in Wiki, I carried out the following settings:

1. I created a Message Profile

2. Then I created a selection profile in the web UI. This is a partner specific selection profile.

3. I set notification for a user and triggered a new PO.

4. I have selected Channel and Email (Direct) as the options in set notification.

An Alert was generated, but email was not triggered.

Is there any other basis related setting that needs to be done?

Hi Kedar,

In Selection profile check whether you have maintained alert priority=3-Information.

Yes, it is 3.

I can see the email status as sent when viewed in Alert Notification Administration from the web screen.

However I do not see anything in SOST.

Is there any Basis setting that is missing or incorrect?

Hi Kedar,

Basis setting is required to send emails.

Basis needs to do SMTP connection setting in transaction SCOT such that email can be send out.
