Hi Experts,

We are configuring SRM7.0 with ECC6 ( Ehp4) having Classic Scenario with MM-SUS deployment and SRM User will NOT be replicate from HR Module of ECC.

We donu2019t have any specific requirement on Org Structure and we donu2019t have any workflow in SRM .

We have only ONE Company Code 3111 and FIVE Purchase Organization (1000,2000,3000,4000 & 5000 ) having Centralized as well as Decentralized purchasing approach . Each Purchase Organization will have many Plants & Storage Location and some Purchase Group for each Purchase Organization .

Hundreds of Users , some will just EMPLOYEE and Other will be PURCHASER.In case of centralized purchasing, purchaser need to buy for all Purchase Organization .

Can anyone suggest ,

1. Do we need to create SU01 user in SRM for requiered users seprately and then create EBP User in

USER_GEN by below way

1.1 Upload Users from File

1.2 Import Users from Other System via RFC

1.3 Create Users from Existing SU01 Users

Which will be best approach to create EBP users in SRM ?

2. What will be best approach to create Organization structure hierarchy and assign of users in it in SRM ? How will be below approach ...

.......Root level is Company code and then 5 Pur Org assigned to it and then Pur Grp assigned to relevant Pur Org and then assign all users to Pur Grp.

Thank you .

Using USERS_GEN transaction, users are created in SU01 then are attached to position into Organizational Structure. So, you do not have to create them in SU01 before USERS_GEN.

For me, best way for user creation is "Upload users from file"

Do not create your Company Code at root level: create it under the root level.

Then, regarding your organizational plan, it will depend on your customer organization.

Thanks Laurent

1. In USERS_GEN Transaction , exactly which option among below ( definitaly not 1.3), to avoid creation of SU01 seperatly by basis Team ?

1. Copy User and Employee Data from Template

1.1 Upload Users from File

1.2 Import Users from Other System via RFC

1.3 Create Users from Existing SU01 Users

2. Generate Employee and User data

2. And how SRM Roles will be assigned ?

3. As per you, if goes for "Upload users from file" option, generaly what fields/data need to be in Excel sheet ?

4. How ECC SU01 id and new SRM SU01 id will be same ?

Thanks

Hi NAP,

Location, storage location are picked up from extended attributes maintained for the position. Whichever Purch Grp has the responsibility of a user department will get picked when user from that department raises a SC.
