TDTIM very slow

We are doing a TDTIM which prcessed about 300 sub-activities in 24 hours at step "start data transfer".

Only about 2 weeks of data was selected at package setting.

On both the control and receiver systems, there are more than 10 bg and dia processes all time busy, respectively.

I want to drop all indexes on the receiver side. However the duplicate data is a concern.

Is there other way to gain better performance?

BI701 with Oracle at UNIX.

Thanks!

Search SAP notes with key words 'TMDS' 'performance' 'settings'. You will find Notes which recommend various methods to obtain best performance.

Also it could be that initially all the big tables were being processed so only 300 tables were processed going forward when the huge tables are completed the smaller ones will finish quickly.

Well looking at the resources you specified it seems to be ok .. but it also depends on the system hardware (e.g CPU etc).

I want to drop all indexes on the receiver => you can try dropping the secondary indexes for big tables in the receiver and rebuild the indexes once data transfer is done.
