Document link in Material Master - Master Data - Basic Data II

Hi Friends,

I have assigned document type 'MAT' to a material in Material Master -> Additional Data -> Document data.

This document gets saved here, but in Material Master -> Basic Data II the link for the document under the heading Document details tab is not seen.

Please help me and let me if I am missing anysettings .

Hi Vrishali,

from material master side you can display the linked document info

records only by using the 'Additional Data' button and then navigate to

tab 'Documents'. Here all the linked document info records are

displayed.

On the material master tab 'Basic Data 2' there are some fields for

document drawings. For using this fields you have to define a document

type in transaction OMT0.

Please note that The flag 'no link' on the basic data 2 screen pertains

only to the document type specified in transaction OMT0, however other

links are still valid as displayed in the extras\document data screen.

Also as the F1 help describes about the Falg :-

"Links are only displayed here if the drawings/documents are assigned

the document type specified in "Material Master" Customizing as the

standard document type". So please check the settings in OMT0 for

the document type you are using.

I hope that this information could be useful for you and I would

recommend you to use the 'Additional Data' way to display your linked

document info records.
