SLD Configuration

Former Member

HI Experts,

I am configuring SLD. I have created technical systems and tested SLD connectivity in r/3 using SLDCHECK. Then I got error message like RFC destination SAPSLDAPI and LCRSAPRFC doesn't exist. I am follwing http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/be/6e0f41218ff023e10000000a155106/frameset.htm link to create RFC destinations in r/3 and J2EE.

Do we need to create RFC destinations manually or any standard template available for this in /nwa.

regards,

Sree.

Hi,

If you are configuring your SLD for r/3 system then SAPSLDAPI and LCRSAPRFC would not work. These RFC's are generally used in XI/PI systems. So, you can ignore this error. For r/3 system, configure RZ70 transaction and check if everything is successful there.

Thanks

Hi Sunny,

I am follwing the below wiki to configure SLD.

http://wiki.sdn.sap.com/wiki/display/TechTSG/%28SLD%29AccessToSLDFromABAPfails-NW7.1and+higher

according to this thread we need to create rfc SAPSLDAPI. I created SAPSLDAPI in sm59 and configuring JCO RFC Provider. Here my doubt is, which userid and pwd has to be maintained in Application server configuration.

Sree.

Hi,

For Exchange Infrastructure communicator the userid is PI_JCO_RFC.

Hi,

In SM59, you don't maintain any user id and Pwd's as these will be a tcp/ip connections. But to access the SLD you can user any user with SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR role.

HI Vamshi,

I have already assigned SAP_SLD_ADMINISTRATOR to my user in portal. I asked about User credentials in JCO RFC Provider.

I have given r/3 user details as NIrmal said. Now SLD configuration is successful.

Thank U all for your quick response.

Hi,

In nwa under configuration there are two option Configure Central SLD & Local sld wizard available.

You can configure manually also.

Manual Steps

1. Configure RFCs as mentioned in the link SAPSLDAPI and LCRSAPRFC

2. Maintain SLD Access Data (transaction : SLDAPICUST)

3. Schedule Job in transaction RZ70
