How to clone and assign the new movement type (ZXX)which is copy of "601" so that when we PGI the delivery for "Few Customer" this new movement type is triggered.

so, How to clone and assign this to delivery type so that once this new delivery type is triggered then ZXX movement type is triggered during PGI

hi,

this is to inform you that,

you should have 2 sales orders 2 deliveries 2 billing documents & 2 SCHEDULE LINES IN PARTICUALAR.

for Eg: ZOR has to go with 601, YOR will go with Z01.

so every thing goes smooth from analysis purposes.

hi Amar,

systems picks the movement type while pgi from the schedule line cat which is assigned to a item category and in turn this item category is linked to the sales document type.

now if you want the system to pick different movenet type let's say z01 for different customers.

now you can create a new movement type(omjj) by copying 601 and just renaming it as z01 or as you sek it to be,

create a new schedule line cat(vov6) and assign this movement type to it .,

now assign this S.L.C. to a item category,wich ca be copied from tan in t- code vov7.

NOW create a special sales doc type by copying standard OR doc type in vov8 and

assign the new created item cat to sales doc type ion vov4(check this tcode not sure).

now just instruct the users to create the orders using the newly created sales document type.

sytem will auto pick the new movemnt type when u do the p.g.i for this in vl01n .

If you want to create a new movement type, go to OMJJ, copy 601 and save. Also as already suggested, you need to assign this new movement type to your schedule line category in VOV6.

Use t.code OMJJ to create a new movement type by copying 601.

Movement type is assigned to schedule line category and schedule line category is controlled by the item category and MRP type (from material master). So you may need to create a new item category, and schedule line category. So based on the customer, the user can manually change the item category in the sales order to populate the required schedule line category or you may need to use an user exit to auto populate the same.

By the way, can you explain the exact requirements so that the forum members can suggest alternative solutions?

Dear Amar,

The movement get determined from schedule line category in sales order.

Pl go to schedule line category at schedule line tab in sales order and u will find SCHEDULE LINE CATEGORY.

In configuration assign movement type to Schedule line cat.
